Terms of Use
These terms supplement the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement for the CutJoint iOS app (a paid, one-time App Store download). If they conflict with Apple’s standard EULA, Apple’s EULA controls for distribution on the App Store.
License
CutJoint is licensed, not sold. $6.99 is a one-time App Store purchase. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no free crippled tier.
What CutJoint is — and is not
CutJoint computes a round-duct equal-angle two-elbow offset layout envelope: axial run P, travel (centerline), centerline radius, and — only when you enter an allowance each end — cut joint length (travel minus twice that allowance).
These numbers are a layout envelope (geometry for planning the run). They are not a manufacturer takeoff and are not SMACNA certified. Fabricated length still depends on fittings, tangent points, seams, reinforcement, and connection clearances. You own the allowance. Wrong length wastes duct — verify fittings in your hand before you cut.
CutJoint is not ductulator / CFM software, not pipe-trades / ANSI / ASME rolling offset, not camera measuring, and not legal or engineering certification advice.
Accuracy
Math uses standard trigonometric envelope relations for equal-angle two-elbow offsets. Optional elbow centerline arc uses circle geometry and is not a SMACNA certified developed length. You are responsible for correct inputs (offset, angle, diameter, throat / CLR, and allowance).
Your data
Calculations stay on-device (App Group for widgets). Sharing text or screenshots is your choice. See the Privacy Policy.
